To the matter of dress, I do not think it is feasible that I should dress you every morning, since it is quite an uncommon practice, so far as I have found, young master.
Few things. We don't get to see our contracts, things are fuzzy on how long we're serving, and if you look at the instructors' files, you're gonna see how long they've been with the CDC.
I have heard of the contracts at least, though I had forgotten about some our instructors' longevity simply because I forget that it is indeed a long time, admittedly.
FROM: michaelis.sebastian@cdc.org
Though in that, I worry more for my young master than myself. Human lifespans are so relatively short that I can only hope it will not be quite so long-term as our instructors.
Guess it must not seem that long when you're a demon. That's supposed to have immortality, isn't it? Don't know human religion all that well, but I'm pretty sure that was the case.
FROM: vakarian.garrus@cdc.org
Seeing now why you're staying a servant. Sounds like he knew about the end plan of that particular contract? Full disclosure?
[Because if so, then anyone who sacrificed their soul for power deserved that end.]
It is, but I feel I should note that demons and religion are not so diametrically opposed as their doctrines would have you believe. But that issue is a bit too complex for such short messages.
FROM: michaelis.sebastian@cdc.org
But yes, he did. I cannot make a contract with someone who is not willing to. All of my masters know the price of my servitude, but to them, it is worth it to have their heart's desire granted.
What their belief system says doesn't matter to me. I'm not human, and my people don't have any baggage there. He made a stupid choice, but that's his choice and none of my business.
FROM: vakarian.garrus@cdc.org
But considering the price, having you dress him doesn't seem like that tough of a request.
I hardly mind the request. More than that, the problem is logistics on occasion, since he is still adjusting to the cycles of the days here, where I do not need to.
FROM: michaelis.sebastian@cdc.org
So he may wake when I am scheduled to be on a patrol, for example, so we have a minor issue of conflicting schedules. I was hoping he may learn to dress himself adequately in such an event.
Thankfully, no, though only "thankfully" because my young master does not have an athletic bone in him. He is on the Orange team, which suits him much better. I definitely fulfill the role of strength completely.
I quite agree, naturally. Though all the better that he is not on the team of "big dumb soldiers"! His intelligence is his asset, so at least he is not useless.
Normally, I would consider the stereotype to be an advantage, but it seems that matters of subterfuge and surprise are left to other teams. Still, it does not hurt, I suppose.
I do, yes. Once I had learned of the specializations, I was initially rather surprised that I was not placed upon the Red team, since that is close to my usual line of work.
FROM: michaelis.sebastian@cdc.org
Not that I am complaining, mind you! I quite enjoy a fight, admittedly, so it is a welcome change to be able to be open about such a thing.
Do you have any interest in helping people maybe get better at the stealth thing? I mean, if you have time. You've got a lot to adapt to, don't wanna put more on your shoulders.

Okay, that's the best one yet. And I'd say it's a really uncommon practice. Especially here.
no subject
Oh, dear. It seems this has gone to the wrong person.
[ heh ]
FROM: michaelis.sebastian@cdc.org
But it is good to have the confirmation, in any case. My young master is rather picky.
no subject
You're his servant? You don't have to be here. I mean, chances are we're not going home.
no subject
I do, actually. But having said that, I do not mind it in the slightest! Servitude is something that comes very naturally to me.
FROM: michaelis.sebastian@cdc.org
However, if I may ask, why do you feel that we will not return to our homes, Mr. Vakarian?

Few things. We don't get to see our contracts, things are fuzzy on how long we're serving, and if you look at the instructors' files, you're gonna see how long they've been with the CDC.

This isn't a short-term sort of thing.

Point. And someone expected to help destroy worlds really should be able to put his own clothes on.
no subject
Quite. At least if nothing else, he will learn quickly, though he may look a mess for a few days of effort on his own.
no subject
Doesn't mean you can't give him pointers. Ask him questions to get him thinking the right way when he's figuring out what to wear and how.
FROM: vakarian.garrus@cdc.org
He doesn't have to look the fool.
no subject
That is true! Though I suppose we will have to start with the very basics, such as tying his shoes.
no subject
Tell me he's not Green, please. Pretty sure that name didn't come up when I was looking over the new greens, but...

Thankfully, no, though only "thankfully" because my young master does not have an athletic bone in him. He is on the Orange team, which suits him much better. I definitely fulfill the role of strength completely.

Good. People already think "big dumb soldiers" when they think Green. We didn't need someone who doesn't know how to tie his shoes.

So you do more surprise and subterfuge? That could be pretty handy. Some of us aren't great at it. At all.
[Like him.]

Actually, I would be happy to. I prefer to be busy, and not requiring food or sleep, I have plenty of time to give.
