Not much more than most recruits here. There was a distress signal sent out that mentioned the Neheda, Bilchis, and Dakham and shortly after that, a broadcast.

Showed a lot of people, most marked terminated, showed the Almina, people in collars on board her, and then showed her being destroyed by the Bilchis.

And before you ask, Dakham's one of the CDC's base of ops. Spaceport, offices, huge.
It was a while ago, but short. The basics were 'SOS Neheda, SOS Bilchis, CIE Dakham'. SOS is a human distress call, don't know that anyone ever figured out what CIE meant. Or even if CIE was right.

The message was obscured when it came through, and once you read it it was deleted from your blackglass.

One other thing that maybe not everyone knows - the Almina's captain came to Ajna, where he was killed by Dagger and nearly killed Dagger in return.
[No need to mention Steve Rogers' involvement; Garrus is pretty sure Steve didn't set out to kill someone and probably just found the fight.]
[He wasn't sure what he was expecting when he asked, but it certainly wasn't this. More and more questions were being raised, and he didn't like them. If the Almina was aware that they've broken regulation, why would they contact other CDC ships in a call for aid? Was the reason for their termination tied into the distress call?
He frowns at his blackglass, but refrains from asking. Instead:]

That doesn't make any sense. He went out of his way to pick a fight with one of our instructors?

I don't think that's why he came. It was a distress call, and then he came to one of the crews he'd made the call to. Not gonna spell out what I think, though. Take what you will from it.
[The last thing Garrus is going to do is suggest the Almina did something against the CDC and expected the Neheda to join in for some reason. There's more going on than meets the eye, he knows this, but he doesn't know what it is. And maybe it's somehow tied in to whatever got the cats and bugs on board the ship.]
[He understands that's the best answer he'll receive on the network like this. The suggestion is there, and that's more than enough. It's something to think about.]

I see. Thanks, Garrus. Sorry for springing it on you out of the blue like this.
[A small joke to end the conversation on a tad lighter note. Curious as he may be, he isn't here to raise a fuss. Not with so many lives resting on both their shoulders.]
DAY 86, sometime after 20:00
Hey, Garrus. You got a minute?

Yeah, I do. What's going on, Cecil?
no subject
What do you know about the Almina incident?

So they knew the consequences of their actions.

Was it a general distress signal? Do you know what it said?

You're welcome, Cecil. No need to apologize. What questions I can answer, I'm here for.
[And those that could get them in trouble, he's not. Not yet.]

I'll keep that in mind when I've got tech issues.
