You have crime still, conflict, but it's not as bad as things can get in space. Gotta say I wouldn't trade space for planetary life, though. There's something about the stars...

Mm. The people too. You stay on a planet, and you get hide-bound. You figure your people's way is the best way. Don't really learn about others and how they do things. Stagnate. If you're in space working with people of other species, most of the time you learn. Some don't. You get stupid everywhere.
