[There's a definite delay. This is too deliberate this time, after all the teasing and the game of innuendo chicken-and-blame, to be a joke. Ryan's hitting on him and Garrus has to decide how he feels about it. The guy's friendly, smart, has a good head. On the other hand, Garrus already has someone making casual a bit complicated. Add to that the fact that the guy's a civilian... but he's a civilian learning how to shoot. Taking things on that are daunting, not clinging to being a bystander in a situation that doesn't allow bystanding.

Why not? As long as they're clear.]

[But that's dodging the topic, a bit. Ryan's never had a problem with non-humans-- hell, he'd seen what his shapeshifter friend really looked like back home, and clearly he's already been flirting in his own awkward way here. Even so, he's not positive it's something he wants to leap right into.

Maybe it's the alien thing; maybe he just tends to be a little more traditional at heart. Either way:]
