You're Green. We need you. Body parts have been found and we need to shorten off-shifts. There a spot you'd prefer? Because Medical and Observation are the main ones and they could use more.
Food that's dextro in nature, as opposed to levo, like humans eat. It's a complicated thing to explain, depending on what level of science you're familiar with.
Funny thing is that most on the ship can eat what you do. There's the ones who need blood, two dextro, and I'm pretty sure the rest are fine with human food.

Not completely sure it's that few who don't eat it, but definitely most are fine, considering how much the supply drop food has been shared and swapped around.

Yeah, from what I've heard, it wasn't exactly pretty. I'd like Medical, but I'm fine with wherever you send me.

Medical works. Consider yourself assigned there until further notice. 8 hours on, 8 hours off, if that's manageable.
no subject
No worries. I can handle it.

What about you?
no subject
Got a shorter sleep cycle than humans. Been handling more, gonna keep handling more. And I'll probably be at Medical shortly here.

I see. Then, if I may ask, is your diet similar to a human's?
no subject
Not at all. I actually can't eat what you can, and you can't eat what I can.

At best my food wouldn't do anything for you. It'd be like eating paper - worthless nutritionally. At worse, my food would kill you.

Whoa... what is it that you eat?

Yeah, I can't say I'm good with molecular science. So, what, would human food have the same effects on you as dextro food would have on us?
no subject
I'm pretty fine with it. It's not gonna put me in danger. But there isn't a point to trying it, either.
no subject
Huh. I should've figured aliens would have a different diet. Thanks for letting me know.

Food should be enjoyed, though. If you can't taste it, there's not much point in eating it, like you said.
no subject
I can taste it. It's just a matter of it not doing anything for me nutritionally. And possibly making my mouth tingle and hide itch.
no subject
Oh! If that's the case... I'll keep that in mind.
