[Erin makes a soft noise that's very nearly a whine. The half of a Nox truffle she got from Sebastian is better than nothing, but she still feels violently ill and has a throbbing headache. So on the ground she stays, with one arm covering her face.]
[This needing help to get from one place to another thing is getting really old. On the other hand, if she has to get help from someone, Garrus isn't bad. She has relative faith that he's not going to go running around telling people about, at least.
She shakes her head.]
Not Medical. I have some in my rover, take me there.
[Some she'd planned to take to Medical later, but whatever. She'll start with another half and move on from there. She won't need to go through all of them.]
[He's gentle as he lifts her up and starts carrying. Garrus is going to be picking some of the things for his own keeping later, just in case. Turning, he begins to head for camp.]
And what happened? Thought you were more careful than this.
Twenty-one. [She gestures feebly in the right direction. It's amazing how puking one's guts out can make a person so tired. At least her stomach is empty now.]
It was a stupid mistake, that's all.
[Which isn't a lie, really. She hadn't thought Sebastian would do anything to her since he owed her a favor, and that was stupid of her. Incredibly stupid. But she doesn't rat Sebastian or Ciel out. ...Yet.]
[He moves with as much haste as he can afford that might not jostle her too much. She's coherent, at least, but she's got to be in pain and he can see how weak the gesture she's made is.]
Glad you called. You sure you don't need to go to Medical, though? In case?
[Despite the questions, it's her rover that he stops at a few moments later, hoping that it can pick up her keycard from his arms and the door will just open.]
[This is twice now that Garrus has seen her in a bad way. She's not a fan. Erin's making mental notes on how to avoid this kind of thing in the future.
Step one: become poison-proof.]
I don't want to. I can fix this myself.
[She doesn't like Medical at the best of times, but now, knowing she has Nox truffles in her rover and not wanting to risk running into a one Dr. Arbuckal, she especially doesn't want to go to Medical. Fortunately, the door opens. Erin fidgets in Garrus' arms.]
[There's no real threat to complete that with. What, he'll pick her back up, set her on her bed, and find the truffle for her? Yeah, that'll really make her reconsider her actions.
He sets her on her feet, hand lingering right behind her upper back in case she topples.]
[Maybe hover for a little longer, Garrus, because she absolutely does not look steady on her feet. Erin takes a handful of slow, deep breaths before she steps away unsteadily from the living wall of support behind her.
Right. She left the truffles in a little net of vines in her locker. Even when she feels terrible it's easy to open that up, retrieve one of the gently flapping fungi from her net bag, and tear it in half. Half goes back in, and the other half she takes with her to sit on her bunk and eat slowly. After a minute, she pulls up her feet and lies down in her buck, no longer easily visible from the door except for one foot still sticking out.
A moment after that and there's a quietly belated:] Thanks.
[He stays only a little back from her as she moves, ready to catch Erin if she falls. It's definitely a possibility. By the time she's lying down, he's by her bunk.]
You're welcome.
[It's just as quiet.]
Would you like a blanket or water or something, or should I go?
[And then with that he's heading for the door, planning on leaving and closing the rover behind him unless she stops him. Seeing as she hadn't wanted to go to Medical, Garrus thinks it's a safe bet she doesn't want company.]

Do you have Nox truffles?
no subject
No. No, I don't, but come here.
[Gently he puts her arm around his cowl. All he's found has been turned in where he thought it would help.]
Hold on to me. Let me get you to Medical. Tell me you didn't eat much of the other?

I'm okay. I think I'll sleep for a while, see how I am when I wake up.
[Or more accurately, lie here and stare at the ceiling for a while, but rest is rest.]
