The only concern is couching it in terms that mean we don't then have to deal with the CDC. And yeah. Reapers had a homeworld. They were created on a world we call Despoina.

Species called the leviathan wanted to find a way to eliminate pain from their lives. Created the first reaper to solve that. It came back with its solution - if they were dead, no more pain.
